Horticultural Fund

The Independence National Historical Park Horticultural Fund was created to help defray some of the ongoing costs needed to maintain our beautiful green spaces.  Along with our historic buildings, Independence has many beautiful green spaces that locals and visitors alike enjoy all year long.

The Horticulture Fund is used to purchase trees, flowers, mulch, grass seed, etc.  It also helps to fund ongoing maintenance and purchase specialty tools when needed.  Currently Independence has multiple green spaces and gardens that need ongoing maintenance.  Below is a few of the more noteworthy gardens located in the park:

Welcome Park

City Tavern Garden

18th Century Garden

Todd House Garden

Franklin Court

The Rose Garden

The Magnolia Garden

Independence Square

Washington Square

Independence Mall

The Declaration House
