Our 2014 Season has started
Tours happen every evening at 6 PM and we meet at the National Park Serivce desk in the Independence Visitor Center at 6th and Market Streets. Twilight Tours are a great way to hear stories and interesting tidbits about our great national park, Independence National Historical Park.
The tours are led by volunteer guides who each tell the story of Independence in their own, unique way which means that even if you have attended a tour before, you can always go again and not hear the same information again. Remember, these tours are completely
So keep an eye out for our blue shirts and Friends logo because even if the tour has started, you are welcomed to join in the fun and learn a little bit of history that you never knew.
Since 1977 the Friends of INHP has been providing free educational evening tours of Independence National Historical Park and the surrounding neighborhoods. These one hour, exterior-only walking tours will be offered every evening at 6:00 PM, beginning mid-June and go through Labor Day. Tour meets at the National Park Service Desk at the Independence Visitor Center, located at 6th and Market Streets. Since each tour is created by the individual Twilight Tour guide, every evening’s tour has a distinct and unique focus. We hope you will join us!
